Brief facts about fennek:

The Fennek, named after the fennec, or LGS Fennek, with LGS being short for Leichter Gepanzerter Spähwagen in German, is a four-wheeled armed reconnaissance vehicle produced by the German company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and Dutch Defence Vehicle Systems. The Turkish company FNSS Defence Systems acquired the right for licence production in 2004. It was developed for both the German Army and Royal Netherlands Army to replace their current vehicles.

RBY MK 1 - The RBY Mk 1 is a light armoured reconnaissance vehicle that was produced by the RAMTA Division of Israel Aircraft Industries. RBY is an anglicized acronym for "Rechev Ben-Yaacov". "Rechev" is Hebrew for "vehicle" and "Ben-Yaacov" is the last name of the creator of the vehicle, Yitzchak Ben-Yaacov.

D-442 FÚG - The D-442 FUG and D-944 PSZH are the results of Hungarian domestic development of relatively cheap amphibious armoured scout car and armored personnel carrier series. FÚG and PSZH were exported with limited success, thus it also known under its Czechoslovak designation OT-65.

ABC-79M - The ABC-79M armoured personnel carrier has been developed in Romania and uses some automotive components of the TAB-77 armoured personnel carrier.

BRDM-2 - The BRDM-2 is an amphibious armoured scout car designed and developed in the Soviet Union. It was also known under the designations BTR-40PB, BTR-40P-2 and GAZ 41-08. This vehicle, like many other Soviet designs, has been exported extensively and is in use in at least 38 countries.

Textron Tactical Armoured Patrol Vehicle - The Textron TAPV is an armoured car currently in use by the Canadian Army. It is essentially a heavier armoured upgrade of the M1117 Armoured Security Vehicle, developed for use by the military police of the US Armed Forces.
